A few days ago, I wrote about my testing with several online backup products – SugarSync, Mozy and Carbonite.
Unfortunately, and stupidity of my side, I accidently deleted my entire document folder + all my financial statements.
After a quick panic attack, and getting back my breath, I opened up SugarSync (that was installed on my notebook).
Lucky I had another PC that had just finished synchronizing, and the data was still safe at the SugarSync account.
Sometimes life just gives you the stories to write about !

I started my romans with online storage back in the days of BeInSync. That was a nice product, thought it had some trouble working on a PC with 2 NIC - it only bounded to the first one, which might now be the one connected to the internet - so it didn't work.
Latly, we have more and more clients seeking an online backup/storage/sync applications, so We went to look around.
We are currently looking at Mozy.com , crabonite.com and SugarSync.com. Though we are still haven't finished the testing here are our initial recomendation -
Personal - carbonite.com -
This is a very easy and cost effective - gives you unlimited storage for a reasnoble price (go for the yearly).
Server - MozyPro - the ONLY online storage that can backup SQL server and Exchange (we use ourselves now... on this server!)
Personal - best choise (but more pricy) - SugarSync.com - gives you everything Microsoft live mesh would want you to have -
backup, sync, share, and the best thing - access your data from anywhere - even your iPhone/Android! you can even stream music and video to your device without needing to download them.
I will post more data later on this week, with more comperrison.
